The first generation Korean Americans have fears on English, what if we make any mistakes. It may come from Confucianism that teaches saving faces be most important virtue. It is especially true to ones who have high expectations, like graduates from high reputation colleges like so-called SKY. Sad to see those people not even open the mouth when people want to listen good news of Jesus Christ. When you go mission fields, however, where they hear English, you will find yourselves quite different, speaking English boldly. It is because the desperate need that they need to listen to the gospel. About the same was found in my visiting the prison last week. I did not care of my English but gospel. You do not have to honor English more than what is needed. In stead, you honor people and their need. They all need Jesus.
