Jeremiah trembled on the Word of God. “My heart is broken within me; all my bones shake” (Jer 23:9). The existential fear is because of God and His Word. The Word fulfills! The fear rests on the fact that nothing but the Word works. It is not any secular power but the Holy Spirit that makes things happen. To live or to die, it is the question of the Word. Moses said, “I tremble with fear!” (Deut 9:19). Elijah bowed down to the ground. Josiah tore his garments. How about you?
