Psalm 1

1

Blessed is the man

who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked

in the way of sinners who has not stood,

in the seat of mockers who has not sit.

복 받은 사람은

악한 자의 모임에 걷지 않으며

죄인의 길에 서지 않으며

조롱하는 사람의 자리에 앉지 않는다.

But the Torah of YHWH is his delight,

and his Torah he murmurs day and night.

그러나 여호와님의 토라가 그의 즐거움이며

그분의 토라를 그가 낮과 밤에 읊조린다.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither.

All that he does prospers.

그는 흐르는 물가에 심긴 나무처럼

계절마다 그의 열매를 맺고

그의 잎사귀는 지지 않는다.

그가 하는 모든 일은 번성하다.

Not so the wicked!

Because they are like chaff

that the wind blows away.

그러나 악한 자는 다르다!

그들은 겨와 같기 때문에

바람이 날려 버린다.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

따라서 악한 자가 심판에 설 수 없고

죄인들이 의인들의 모임에 들 수 없다.

For YHWH knows over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked will perish.

여호와님께서 의로운 자들의 길을 아시지만

악한 자들의 길은 망할 것이다.
