Acts 1:1-5 “Wait”
Jesus
told his disciples not to leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift that God
promised. The gift Jesus mentioned about here is the Holy Spirit. He said to
the disciples that they will receive the Holy Spirit if they obeyed what Jesus
ordered to do. And we see that disciples those who obeyed and experienced the
Holy Spirit, they finally lived out their lives as a missionary.
As a
good example of Jesus’ disciples, we should wait at the place where God
commanded us to receive the Holy Spirit. And this place can be anywhere we do
worship to the Lord our God. When we obey the word of Jesus and stay and wait
as a worshiper then we must be given the gift Jesus promised.
예수님께서는 제자들에게 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고
하나님께서 약속하신 것을 기다리라고 하셨습니다. 이 약속하신 것은 성령님을 말하는데 예수님의 명령에
순종한 제자들은 성령님을 경험하게 됩니다. 이렇게 성령님을 선물로 받은 제자들은 전도자로서 새로운 삶을
살게 됩니다.
우리도 예수님의 제자들과 같이 성령님을 선물로
받기 위해서 하나님이 머무르라는 자리에서 기다릴 수 있어야 합니다. 이 자리는 예배의 자리입니다. 우리가 예수님의 말씀에 순종하여 예배의 자리에서 기다리면 약속하신 성령님을 선물로 받게 될 것입니다. 이렇게 되었을 때 우리는 하나님께서 원하시는 예배자의 모습으로 살아갈 수 있게 됩니다.
