2016년 8월7일, 마가복음 2장 1-12절
예수님께서는 가버나움에 가셨습니다. 그리고 많은 사람들이 예수님을 보기 위해 찾아왔습니다. 예수님의 대한 소문을 들은 중풍병자와 사람들이 예수님을 찾아왔습니다. 아마도 예수님께서 많은 기적을 행하셨기때문에 중풍병자의 병을 고쳐 줄수 있을 것이라는 생각을 가지고 왔을 것으로 생각됩니다. 그러나 예수님의 말씀을 자세히 살펴보면 그렇지 않음을 발견 할 수 있습니다.
“예수께서 그들의 믿음을 보시고 중풍병자에게 이르시되 작은 자야 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라”
우리는 이 사람들의 목적이 육체적 고침을 받기 위해 예수님을 찾아 왔다고 생각했지만 그들은 구원의 은혜를 바라고 예수님을 찾아 왔습니다. 그렇기 때문에 예수님께서 그들의 믿음을 보시고“네 죄 사함을 받았느니라” 라고 먼저 말씀하신 것입니다. 예수님께서는 그들의 중심을 보셨습니다. 그리고 난 후에 중풍병자를 일으켜 세우셨습니다.
우리는 교회에 어떤 마음을 가지고 오나요? 물론 많은 문제의 해결을 바라며 교회에 옵니다. 예수님께서는 우리를 사랑하시기 때문에 은혜로 우리의 문제를 해결 해주십니다. 그러나 우리는 먼저 믿음을 가지고 구원의 은혜를 바라며 예배에 참여해야 합니다.
우리아이들은 앞으로 살아가면서 필요한 것이 많아 질것입니다. 부모님들은 이러한 필요를 채우기위해 헌신해야합니다. 그리고 이러한 필요를 위해 기도를 많이 하게될 것입니다. 하지만 이 필요를 위해 기도하기 전 먼저 구원의 은혜를 먼저 구한다면 예수님께서 기뻐하시고 모든 필요를 채워주시리라 믿습니다.
“그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라”(마태복음 6장 33절)

Today scripture we see Jesus went back to Capernaum and lots of people come to see Him. In those crowds there were four men was carrying a crippled man to meet Jesus. We easily assume that those friends and the crippled man came to Jesus to be healed the man’s suffering, but there is more important message in this story.
Please look at the scripture carefully.
“When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the crippled man, "My friend, your sins are forgiven."
The purpose why they came to meet Jesus was not a physical healing but for the grace of salvation. Jesus saw their faithful heart first. That’s the reason why He said to them “My friend, your sins are forgiven”, and then made him get up.
Why do we go to church? Is that because we go to church for our hardship to be solved? Jesus wants to resolve our problems of course because He loves us. But it shouldn’t be our first reason to come to church; rather we must remember that Jesus is our Saviour and we worship with seeking the grace of our salvation.
Each of our youth members will need lots of things for their future life and the parents are willing to provide everything they might need including unlimited prayer. But please remember that the most essential thing for your son and daughter is asking to have God’s grace for salvation. I sincerely believe that if we ask Jesus’ love and His grace of salvation first, then our every other demands will be fully filled with God’s gift.
“But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well”(Matthew 6:33)
