2016. 10.16. Act 5:1-11 “Effort”
Ananias
and Sapphira sold their property for an offering, but they kept back part of
the money for themselves. When they brought the money to Peter, they lied about
the price of the land. For that Ananias and Sapphira fell down and died. They
died it’s not because of the money they brought, but they lied to God. In fact
I don’t think that Ananias and Sapphira tried to lie to God because nobody can
even think that people can lie to God. Then why they lied about the price of
the land? First they wanted to be seen as a good Christian who have enough
faith to give their land for offering. Second they only focused on the people
around them so that they totally forgot God who is always watching over us.
Through this story, we need to look back our lives
if we worship God to show off what we have and are too conscious of other
people’s eyes. I pray we should focus on only God first when we use our times,
efforts, materials, and hearts for the work of God and worship God with full of
the Spirit and the truth. 2016. 10.16 Act 5:1-11 “Effort” 아나니아와 삽비라가 자신의 소유를 팔아 헌금을
하려고 했으나 일부를 자신들을 위해 감추었습니다. 그리고 베드로가 물었을 때 거짓을 말했습니다. 그 결과 아나니아와 삽비라는 죽음에 이르게 됩니다. 그 이유는 적게
바친 것이 아니라 하나님께 거짓을 말했기 때문입니다. 사실 그들은 하나님을 속이려는 마음은 없었을 것입니다. 이 세상의 누구도 하나님을 속일 수 있다고 생각하는 사람이 없기 때문입니다.
아나니아와 삽비라는 사람들에게 잘 보이고 싶어서 모든 돈을 다 하나님께 헌금 한 것처럼 보이려 했습니다. 사람들에게 잘 보이려는 것에 신경쓰다보니 하나님께서 보고 계신다는 사실을 잊어 버린 것입니다.
우리는 혹시 사람들의 눈을 의식하며 예배하고 있는 것이 아닌지 우리의 삶을 돌아 보아야 합니다. 교회 안에서 여러가지 모습으로 노력하며 사명을 감당하는 우리가 하나님보다 사람을 기뻐하는 것이 되어서는 안될
것입니다. 우리아이들의 모든 노력이 날마다 말씀에 기초하여 사람이 아닌 하나님을 알아가고 진실된 모습으로
예배하는 일에 힘쓸 수 있게 되기를 기도합니다.
