하나님께 가까이 함이 내게 복이라(시편73:28)

John 2:13-25 “New Temple”

Temple is very important for Israel people because it is their life. It should be a place to worship God and to have relationship with God, but since it was tempted by full of human’s desire, it has finally degenerated.

So Jesus has wiped out the temple and said "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."(19)

People heard Jesus didn’t understand what it meant. It implies Jesus’ death and the Resurrection. Jesus built new temple through his death and resurrection so that Jesus became the new temple.

We must believe and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior first, and then the experience grace of salvation will be followed. Now let’s destroy our old temple and rebuild one in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

이스라엘 사람들에게 있어서 성전은 매우 중요했습니다. 성전은 곧 그들의 삶이었습니다.

그러나 이런 성전이 변질되었습니다. 예배를 통한 하나님의 만남과 쉼이 있어야 할 자리에 인간의 욕망만이 가득 차 있었습니다.

예수님은 이 변질된 성전을 뒤 엎으셨습니다. 그리고 사람들에게 말했습니다. "예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 이 성전을 헐라 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라"(19)

사람들은 예수님께서 하신 말씀을 이해하지 못했습니다. 이것은 예수님의 죽음과 부활을 의미 합니다. 예수님께서는 그의 죽음과 부활을 통해 새로운 성전을 세우셨습니다. 예수님이 새로운 성전입니다.

우리는 이 새로운 성전이신 예수님을 믿고 받아들일 때 구원의 은혜를 경험할 수 있습니다. 우리의 옛 모습을 과감히 버리고 새로운 성전이신 예수님께 나아가는 모두가 되어야 하겠습니다.
