John 12:20-26 “Kernel”
Jesus Christ expressed himself as a kernel in this scripture. He said a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and must die for producing many seeds. This implies Jesus’ death and his precious sacrifice, and his crucifixion was accomplished to bear a fruit. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ is nothing compared to anything in the world and also represents the highest love in the fulfillment of God. As Jesus taught us in today’s Words, we need to follow his teaching and act out His love to one another so that we also live our lives as a kernel which dies for plentiful harvest.
예수님께서 자신을 밀알로 비유하셨습니다. 밀알이 땅에 떨어져 죽어야 많은 열매를 맺게 된다고 말씀하셨습니다. 이것은 예수님의 죽음을 나타낸 것인데 이것은 고귀한 희생이며 이 죽음은 열매를 맺기 위한 죽음이었습니다. 예수님의 희생은 이 세상 무엇과도 비교할 수 없는 사랑의 모습이며 실천이었습니다. 예수님께 그러하셨듯이 우리도 밀알처럼 살아가며 사랑을 실천하는 것이 예수님께서 우리에게 원하시는 모습이라고 생각합니다.
