12:37-43 "Confess"
Even
some of Jewish leaders in Jesus time believed Him as the Messiah but nobody
wanted to reveal their faith in their community. They were afraid of losing
their wealth and their social powers when they confessed their faith. They
loved their own honor more than God’s glory, and it is not a true faith. It is
because if we love more than our own honors than God’s glory, then we lose our
right to be God’s people. We thus, must be able to confess our faith to other
people and be prodding of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. If we feel
hesitation in saying that we have faith in Jesus Christ, then it could be a
fake faith and not a real one.
I wish
we could have a real faith and recognize that it is blessings that we are
called as a child of Jesus, the Son of God, so that we could proudly convey the
love of Jesus to the world.
유대 지도자들 가운데 예수님을 믿는 사람들이
많이 있었으나 그 믿음을 드러내고 고백하는 사람은 없었습니다. 왜냐하면 그들은 자신들의 믿음을 고백했을
때 가진 것을 잃을까 두려웠기 때문입니다. 하나님의 영광보다 사람의 영광을 더 사랑한다는 것은 참된
믿음이 아닙니다. 사람의 영광을 더 사랑하면 하나님의 백성이 되는 자격을 상실하게 됩니다.
우리는 우리의 믿음을 다른 사람들에게 고백하고
예수님을 자랑할 수 있어야 합니다. 그래야 참된 믿음을 가진 것이고 하나님의 백성이라고 할 수 있습니다. 우리가 다른 사람들에게 예수님을 당당하게 전하고 자랑할 수 있는 참된 믿음을 가지기를 소망합니다.
