08/13/2017 Acts 4:23-31 "Boldness"
The
Jewish rulers and elders seized Peter and John and examined them at the Sanhedrin.
Peter and John answered the leader’s questions boldly. When the leaders saw the
courage of Peter and John and surprised that they were uneducated, ordinary men
but they spoke fluently about Jesus with the confidence.
How
did Peter and John can be so bold under that circumstance? What could make them
to be so confident? It is because they spoke about the truth. It is because
they believed their faith and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
If we
have confidence in the truth of the gospel we believe like Peter and John, we
also be able to be courageous and convey the good news of Christ under any
circumstances.
유대지도자들에 의해 체포된 베드로와 요한은
공회에서 심문을 받게 됩니다. 하지만 베드로와 요한은 심문을 받는 가운데 담대하게 유대지도자들의 질문에
답변을 합니다. 그 모습을 본 유대지도자들은 베드로와 요한이 교육을 받지 못함에도 불구하고 담대하고
유창하게 답변을 하는 것을 보고 놀라움을 금치 못합니다.
베드로와 요한이 이렇게
담대할 수 있었던 이유는 그들이 진리가운데 있었기 때문입니다.
그들은 자신들이 전하는
복음이 의심의 여지가 없는 진리라는 것을 확실히 알고 있었습니다.
이와 같이 우리도 복음의 진리를 확실하게 믿고
받아 들일 때 베드로와 요한처럼 어던 상황에서도 담대하게 복음을 전할 수 있을 것입니다.
