Acts 8:9-25 “Ability”
Simon who practiced sorcery in the city of Samaria became to believe
Jesus Christ through Philip. And he was astonished by the great signs and
miracles that Peter and John prayed for the Samarians that they might receive
the Holy Spirit. However Simon was chided by Peter because he wanted to have
the ability he saw so that he offered them money to buy the gift of God.
Sorcery that Simon practiced before he was baptized is something learnable
and trainable, but what Peter and John did to the Samaritans is practiced only
by the Holy Spirit, and it is the grace of God as a gift.
사마리아에
시몬이라는 마술사는 빌립을 통해 예수님을 믿게 되었습니다. 그리고 베드로와 요한이 사람들에게 기도하며
성령을 받게 하는 것을 보고 놀라게 됩니다. 그러나 시몬은 성령을 받게 하는 권세를 돈을 주고 사려고
하다가 사도들로부터 꾸지람을 받게 됩니다. 시몬이 전에 하던 마술은 훈련하고 배우면 할 수 있는 것이지만
성령은 하나님의 선물로서 은혜로 값 없이 주어지는 것입니다.
