하나님께 가까이 함이 내게 복이라(시편73:28)

1 Samuel 3:8-21 “Voice”

When Samuel heard a voice called him, he went to Eli’s room because he thought that it was Eli. But after same thing happened to Samuel three times, he knew that it was not a voice of Eli and Eli recognized it was a voice of Lord. So Eli told Samuel what he should do when he heard the voice again.

When Samuel heard the voice again he answered what he was told by Eli that “I'm listening, LORD. What do you want me to do?”. (10) After that night, Lord spoke through Samuel and he can hear God’s voice directly so that everyone in the country knew that Samuel was true prophet of the LORD.

Question is how can we hear the voice of God? Does God speak us directly as He did to Samuel?

Are we looking for a special moment to hear God’s voice like Samuel had? There are some people claimed that they heard the voice of God in their dreams or while they’re praying. Yes, these experiences are precious and could be happened to us by the grace of God, but not greater than the Word of God, the Bible. The most important thing, but we often forgot is the voice of God is the Bible. In other words, we can hear the voice of God clearly and specifically through the Bible. And of course we could meet Jesus through the Bible as well.

Samuel was used by God after he heard the voice of God. Thus, it is very important to hear the voice of God every day for our spiritual lives. If we could hear God’s voice through the Bible and follow what He told us with the Bible, God will use us as He used Samuel.

어린 사무엘은 누군가 자신의 이름을 부르자 엘리 제사장이 부르는 줄 알고 그의 방으로 찾아갔갔습니다. 그러나 그 음성은 엘리 제사장의 음성이 아니었습니다. 똑같은 일이 3번 생기자 엘리 제사장은 이것이 하나님의 음성임을 알고 사무엘에게 어떻게 대답할지를 알려줍니다. 사무엘은 다시 자신을 부르는 음성이 들리자 엘리 제사장이 일러준대로 대답을 합니다. “여호와여 말씀하옵소서 주의 종이 듣겠나이다”(10) 이후로 하나님은 사무엘을 통해 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 이스라엘 사람들은 사무엘이 여호와의 선지자로 세우심받았다는 것을 알게 되었습니다.(20)

어떻게 하면 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 있을까요? 하나님께서 나에게도 사무엘에게 말씀 하셨듯이 직접 말씀하실까요?

우리에게 들리는 하나님의 음성은 성경입니다. 우리는 성경을 통해 구체적으로 하나님의 음성을 듣습니다. 우리는 성경을 통해 구체적으로 예수님을 만납니다. 어떤사람들은 실제로 하나님의 음성을 들었다고 하기도합니다. 또는 꿈을 통해서 하나님께서 말씀하셨다고 말합니다. 아주 귀하고 드문일입니다. 하나님께서는 지금도 이러한 모습으로 우리에게 말씀하시기도 합니다. 하지만 이것이 우리에게 주신 말씀 즉 성경보다 구체적일 수 없습니다.

하나님의 음성을 듣는 것을 매우중요한 일입니다. 하나님의 음성을 들은 사무엘은 귀하게 쓰임 받았습니다. 우리도 성경을 통해 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 있습니다.우리가 성경을 통해 하나님의 목소리를 듣고 따른다면 하나님께서 우리를 사무엘과 같은 모습으로 사용하실것입니다.
